OUR FOUNDER
Jordan Maniscalco
President & Founder of JEM Glass
Jordan Maniscalco is a commercial glass and glazing contractor and President & Founder of JEM Glass. He got his start more than a decade and a half ago, but his interest in construction — and glass, in particular — goes back to his childhood.
His dad, Mickey, was a lifelong glazer. Jordan watched his dad work and learned everything he could from him — about the industry, about work ethic and about life. He found out that he had a natural affinity for construction, as well as a lot of ambition. So he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida Atlantic University and quickly moved into project management.
Jordan spent the next 15 years working for top-50 national commercial contractors, immersing himself in all areas of the businesses. He honed his skills on everything about organizing and executing construction projects — from bidding, inspecting materials and ordering to client service, evaluating talent and working with people.
In 2017, he knew it was time to think even bigger.
That was when Jordan talked with his dad about combining their more-than-half-a-century of professional experience, so they could go out on their own. He wanted to put all of his knowhow in preconstruction, project management, business development and accounting to use — all at the same time — so he could better provide for his family while also having more control over his schedule.
His dad, who was thinking about retiring at the time, loved the idea.
So they started JEM Glass — appropriately named after Jordan’s daughter: Julianna Elise Maniscalco.
Since then, JEM’s general contractor clients have gotten exactly what Jordan set out to provide: honesty, reliability, solid communication and second-to-none work from family men who pride themselves on doing exactly what they say they’re going to do — on point and on time.
